Efficient RNA Extraction for Viral Detection
The Viral Nucleic Acid Extraction Kit is meticulously designed for the efficient purification of viral DNA/RNA from a variety of cell-free samples such as serum, plasma, body fluids, and the supernatant of viral infected cell cultures, including those infected by COVID-19. This kit ensures rapid and effective lysis of DNA/RNA viruses using a highly concentrated lysis buffer containing chaotropic salt. When combined with ethanol, the AD Buffer creates optimal conditions for nucleic acid binding to the glass fiber of the column, ensuring the removal of contaminants like salts, metabolites, and soluble macromolecular cellular components during the wash process. The nucleic acids are eluted in RNase-Free water and are immediately ready for use in downstream applications such as Real-Time PCR, Automated Fluorescent DNA Sequencing, PCR, and other enzymatic reactions. This process can be completed in 40 minutes or less, with an elution volume of 50µl from a 200µl sample, and free samples are available upon request for testing.
The kit's performance is rigorously tested on a lot-to-lot basis to ensure high-quality and reliable results. Each batch undergoes validation by isolating viral DNA/RNA from a 200µl plasma sample, guaranteeing consistent efficiency and purity. This robust testing protocol confirms the kit's ability to deliver high-quality nucleic acids suitable for sensitive detection methods, dependent on the PCR or RT-PCR assay's sensitivity. By using the Viral Nucleic Acid Extraction Kit, researchers can be confident in obtaining superior RNA extraction results, critical for accurate viral detection and subsequent molecular biology applications.

Viral Nucleic Acid Kit ProtocolI can’t see any RNA, but I do see DNA. Is this a problem with concentrations?
Remember to use RNAse free centrifuge tubes, tips, and other tools, and always wear disposable gloves during all of the extraction processes. The low concentration samples can lead to not being able to see RNA on the gel. To check the result, you can perform the “Reverse Transcription PCR.”
