IBI glycerol is ideal for both sample preparation and preparation of polyacrylamide gels for electrophoresis. A concentration measuring 5% - 10% glycerol increases the density of a sample so that the sample layers the bottom of the gel well. Glycerol is also used to aid in casting gradient gels and as a protein stabilizer and storage buffer component.
Available in 500ml and 1-liter sizes.
